It can be a challenge to find the time to learn about the issues, keep up with pending legislation, and contact your state and/or federal legislators. LAM-NM tries to make it a little easier for you to make your voice heard. We send Advocacy Updates and Advocacy Alerts with information about issues related to our Advocacy Agenda. Our Advocacy Alerts urge you to contact policymakers along with information about how to make those important contacts. Join now!

Your gifts to ELCA World Hunger support this hunger-related advocacy work.
The 2014 Lutheran Advocacy Ministry-New Mexico conference will be held on Saturday, November 8 at St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Albuquerque. The conference will take place from 9:00 am until 1 pm and the cost is $15 per person, including lunch. Session topics will include advocacy basics, hunger, immigration and more. Our featured speaker will be Pastor David Vasquez, author of several Bible studies from the perspective of immigrants and refugees. Plan now to attend and learn more about advocating for our many neighbors living in poverty.
There are a number of opportunities for you to take part in LAM-NM and become an advocate. As always, we appreciate and value your advocacy work and ask for your prayers for our ministry of advocacy.
