Bishops Luncheon

The 2010 annual Lutheran Advocacy Ministry - New Mexico Legislative Luncheon was held on February 4 at La Fonda Hotel in Santa Fe.   Bishop Allan Bjornberg of the Rocky Mountain Synod, ELCA hosted this event at which legislators and executive branch policy makers are recognized as Lutheran advocates join advocates from a number of denominations and other faiths to thank legislators for their public service.  Rep. Gail Chasey and Gov. Bill Richardson were honored for their leadership in repealing the death penalty during the 2009 session. A briefing on Lutheran Advocacy Ministry-NM issues took place in the morning prior to the luncheon.   Photos from the 2009 Luncheon:
